Welcome to The Company Man! A newsletter that explores the ecology of business - the intersection of people, profit and culture.

My name is Anupam and I am truly excited to have you reading this. A management consultant by profession, I have worked in various countries and companies, both large and small, for over 15 years. During this time I have been a curious student of organizational culture - how it forms, permeates and impacts the people, the leadership and ultimately the success of the business itself.

Culture is the primary reason for people to switch jobs, feel burnt out, anxious and unhappy, and a major contributing factor to business failure.

In the evolution of modern business, people centricity has only recently become a theme and we’ve barely scratched the surface of what it takes to create exceptional workplace culture. With the technological and social changes currently underway, culture and engagement are going to be more relevant than ever. The workplace of the future will require to be more employee centric and have a significantly greater focus on attracting and retaining talent. The battle for talent is just beginning and is here to stay.

My intention with this newsletter is to do regular deep dives on matters I consider to be the biggest challenges to organizational success. I welcome anyone who shares my interests to subscribe to my newsletter - your support and feedback is my motivation to keep going. In particular I would love to hear from HR/Talent/People & Culture practitioners and business leaders curious about building resilient and successful organizations where talent wants to work.
